I have found the download page and tried downloading the client from there. I get an erroneous page after I click download. Is anyone else having this issue? Is there another location as to where I can download the client?
Thanks,
Todd

Hi,
After a recent update to Windows 7 (the suspected update is KB4074598) our Dameware app crashes after being open for a few minutes.
Windows error logs show DWRCC.exe fails on ntdll.dll
Has anyone else come across this or a fix for it?
We're using Dameware 6.9.0.4
Thanks
Hi all,
Does anyone already created an ADMX Template for GPOs for Dameware? There it is already documented: DameWare Mini Remote Control Group Policy Administrative Templates
File: minirc.admx
But i cannot find the download anywhere

when using DameWare Mini Remote Control I copy to a remote PC, for example a password or some other text (plain text), but it is not inserted into the remote PC.
such a problem appeared when I reinstalled DameWare Mini Remote Control on a new operating system - Windows 10
the clipboard does not work when copying from the main PC to a remote one, but in the opposite direction (copying from a remote machine to the main PC) is working.
Hello NG,
I come from this site http://forums.dameware.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=3065 , which resulted in opening a support case.
Our systems experience lots of the following error entries in Windows event viewer, application log:
##################################################################
Error:
DameWare Mini Remote Control
No Link-Local or Site-Local Cloud Available (Local).
System Error: 0
System Message: Der Vorgang wurde erfolgreich beendet.
(srv 64 bit)
##################################################################
We want to get rid of the messages. Can you help?
Our Dameware version is 7.5.9.0, we run Windows 7 64bit Ultimate SP1 fully patched. Our systems have IPv6 disabled in properties of the NIC configurations.
Thanks in advance!
Best Regards,
Bob
I tried to connect with MRC 9 and got the below error. I tried again on 11 and got the same thing. Another PC with MRC is having the same issue. Other remote PCs are fine. I removed the remote service and the issue persists. Any ideas?
Please try one of the other authentication types or please check the remote machine's authentication settings.
Disconnecting.

Hello,
I am setting up Dameware 10 Remote Control Tool on a few systems and am having an issue getting connected to remote systems using my CAC. We have both admin and regular certs on the CAC but will be using the admin cert to do the remote control assistance.
Ill give you a rundown of what I am doing:
Right click DameWare Mini Remote Control > Run as (choose my admin Cert from CAC)
Fill in all information needed (Select Smart Card logon and fill in PIN)
Click connect and get error, after a few moments of waiting
Error:
DameWare Mini Remote Control
Smart Card Logon Failed (5.2).
System Error: 1326
System Message: Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.
After inspecting the security logs on the client system I see that the error is because its attempting to use my regular user account, not my admin account. Even tho we are running the MRC tool using admin cert credentials.
Security Logs on client system shows the attempted connection and failure:
An account failed to log on.

This event is generated when a logon request fails. It is generated on the computer where access was attempted.
The Subject fields indicate the account on the local system which requested the logon. This is most commonly a service such as the Server service, or a local process such as Winlogon.exe or Services.exe.
The Logon Type field indicates the kind of logon that was requested. The most common types are 2 (interactive) and 3 (network).
The Process Information fields indicate which account and process on the system requested the logon.
The Network Information fields indicate where a remote logon request originated. Workstation name is not always available and may be left blank in some cases.
The authentication information fields provide detailed information about this specific logon request.
- Transited services indicate which intermediate services have participated in this logon request.
- Package name indicates which sub-protocol was used among the NTLM protocols.
- Key length indicates the length of the generated session key. This will be 0 if no session key was requested.
I am a local admin on remote system and can confirm this with username and password, so we know the authentication is there. For some reason it keeps defaulting back to the regular user cert.
Any thoughts on it?

I use Dameware Mini Remote Control to remote into my servers from home. My home PC is WIN 7. I have the free upgrade to Win 10 but do not want to install until I verify DMRC will be compatible with the new OS. I have version 11.1 64bit
Every time I remote into a remote computer at another office the mouse pointer is off by about 3 inches I cannot click on any icons which makes the remote session useless. Anyone have any ideas? This used to work perfectly a few months ago.
The client msi install creates two rules that allow the service network access on all network profiles (domain, private, public):
"Dameware Mini Remote Control Service"
"Dameware Mini Remote Control Service GPO"
These rules are identical except that the first allows editing so that one can choose on which network profile access is allowed; the second displays "This rule has been applied by the system administrator and cannot be modified." This is on a manually installed client, not pushed or configured via domain policies. I would like to allow connections only on the domain profile but could not find where these settings are controlled in the msi builder app.
I’m happy to announce that DameWare 12.1 is now publicly available.
This release brings several improvements, namely:
DameWare 12.1 is available for download on your customer portal for those customers under current maintenance.

Hi,
We are using Dameware MRC 9.0.1. It hangs when trying to load the program for 10 - 15 seconds. I've ran a process monitor and it's hanging on an connection to 2.22.139.27.
I've also ran a network monitor trace and MRC is trying to open a connection to akamaiedge.net on port 80.
We sit behind a proxy and firewall, so the direct connection can't be made.
Anyway of disabling this?
Many thanks
Rich
We've been using DWMRC for years, since the 7.0 days. I was using 12.0 for awhile but recently updated to 12.1. Now every time I connect to anyones machine for support I get a very annoying nuisance pop up that never appeared before. It says "The remote system is using the same active keyboard layout as your local system. If keyboard layouts are likely to change, we suggested disabling keyboard translation support. Would you like to disable support? Yes / No". No matter what I click here the message keeps coming up if I connect to the same machine or different machine.
How can I get this very annoying and unproductive message to stop, without downgrading back to 12.0? I'm not even sure what this message is supposed to convey. As a user all I care about is that I can connect on quickly when needed. I could give two sh*ts about some kind of keyboard layout... that's really irrelevant IMO.
Good Afternoon,
I recently tried installing the Dameware Mini Remote driver onto a Windows Server 2012 machine and it continues to report back "The Operating System has reported that a reboot of the remote machine is required to complete the Mirror Driver installation/update". Once you click ok, it lets you in. But, everytime you remote in with Dameware, it pops up this message. The system has been rebooted multiple times and tried installing the driver multiple ways with no success. How do I get around this? Thanks

I'm not able to rollback the Windows updates or revert ntdll.dll to an older version.
Is there any chance of getting DameWare MRC 9 working again?
